Amazon is currently running a special deal on a pair of Trico Force.
The offer is only available at Amazon and the blades must be sold and shipped by Amazon.com.
This means that products sold by 3rd party sellers unfortunately does not qualify for the discount.
Amazon has put together a special page where you can add your wipers directly to your shopping cart (the discount is applied in the shopping cart)
If you don’t know the exact size, then use the Part Finder (not the “normal” Part Finder) on the special offer page to make sure that 1) you select the correct blades and 2) that you only select from products included in the deal.
I just gave the Major Brands page and all the brand pages an overhall.
It’s been a while since I updates these – a few blades have been discontinued and a bunch of new ones has popped up.
The most significant change is that most companies now feature a Hybrid blade in their lineup.
Collecting the information is unfortunately not as simple a visiting a single page on each manufacturers website.
Few of them provide size information at a glance for instance.
For some brands the information has been gathered from browsing through an endless number of product pages on Amazon or other online stores.
Some of the information comes from technical papers and dealership info-packages buried deep in the website.
I’ve updated the information for these brands:
This year is no exception – Trico is once again offering a mail-in rebate on 6 different models of their wiperblades.
There's up to a $10 discount on these 6 blades:
- Trico Exact Fit rear wiper blades
- Trico Exact Fit conventionalwiper blades
- Trico Exact Fit hybrid wiper blades
- Trico Exact Fit beam wiper blades
- Trico Flex wiper blades
- Trico Force wiper blades
The offer lasts until November 16 2012
I almost missed this, but the Auto Deal of the Week at Amazon is 50% off on all Trico Exact Fit windshield wipers.
The notice on the frontpage just says Trico Exact Fit, but on the details page it clearly states that it’s only the wiperblades for the rear windshield.
Trico blade models are named “14-D” for instance. ’14’ is the size in inches and ‘D’ is for a specific type of attachment.
Attachments are A, B, C, D, E or F so make sure you pick the type of attachment that fits your car.
The discount lasts until November 14.
I’m done collecting the review statistics for the Trico wiper blades now.
355 blades, 307 reviews of just under 100 of the blades – so more than 250 of the available Trico blades on Amazon haven’t been rated or reviewed by customers.
It’s sad really because you’re limited to only see reviews for a very tiny portion of the blades sold through Amazon.
Heavy Duty, Classic and Nu-Vision for instance only had one review each – and only 4 reviews of the Oktane blades.
Exact Fit, Exact Fit Rear, NeoForm, Innovision, Teflon and Teflon Winter on the other hand are well reviewed.
I just finished the first part of a new guide – a guide that will allow you to get an overview of the different winter windshield wiper blades that are available as well as having the customer reviews from Amazon gathered in one place.
This first version only covers Rain-X and Trico, because it’s hard work to gather all the data to make it available from one central page.
The final guide will also feature Anco and Bosch wipers.
